By purchasing any TAM Sketchbook, I agree to be responsible for the protection of the contents of this book and WILL NOT copy, use the images myself, or allow anyone else to use these designs as tattoos. I recognize that all designs herein are copyrighted by the artist and that they are only published as a learning tool, not as flash designs. I will respect the fact that they were originally designed as custom tattoos for paying clients and will not in any way copy or distribute the contents of this publication.
Greetings and thanks for checking out our newest TAM project- the official TAM sponsored SKETCHBOOKS. These sketchbooks are from some of the finest tattooers in the world and are sure to be of help to anyone wanting to learn how to better their own tattoo work.
The only apprehension most artists voiced when approached about participating in this experiment was that the images presented herein are custom designs prepared for paying customers, and the threat of unscrupulous tattooers copying them and using them as their own was something to be considered. To be honest, there isn’t a really good way to prevent that ... in fact, it's impossible. It's unfortunately a norm now for people to print off other artists’ designs from the internet or magazines and claim that these are in fact their own custom images, fraudulently fooling not only their clients, but in many cases- themselves- into believing that they are really just that good. Sad but true.
These books are NOT being published as FLASH BOOKS. These images are NOT being offered as designs that you can color and sell as your own. They ARE however being offered as an aid to help inspire you to push your own work further than you could without access to other artists' work.
The reality is that most people are only going to be as good as those they are connected with and the majority of us are without access to great tattooers on a regular basis. This project represents one way that we can be learning and growing as artists- by studying the works of other artists. And that's the real point of the sketchbooks- to help us all grow by having access to some extraordinary art.
PLEASE respect the willingness of each artist involved to share their own work with us, and respect their requests that these images not be duplicated on skin. This is a great opportunity for the tattoo community, and if successful will surely encourage other artists to participate along with us in sharing ... but ONLY if you yourself reverence the goals and wishes of the artists and the project itself.
Each book is individually numbered and is limited in edition. By signing below or by agreeing online, you are guaranteeing us of your intent to keep the images safe and out of the hands of unprincipled artists. Our suggestion is keep them for yourself, store them in a safe place, look at them, study them, email the artists and ask questions that arise from your studies ... use all the information available here to grow as an artist. And don’t be a schmuck.
Thanks
