Pacheco Challenge #2
From the desk of Marcus Pacheco
|
Hey Crash!
Wouldn't you know it. Here we are and the critique for assignment number one is yet to be completed which leads me to an overwhelming conclusion that more time is going to be needed for this thing to be done right. Therefore we might further conclude that the process should take two issues instead of one.
In other words, Challege #1 from issue 5 will have its critique in number 7. Meanwhile issue 6 will include Challenge #2 which will have its critique in issue number 8. Number, number, number...
A female client requests a short sleeve on her right arm which includes a cover-up of an old "tribal" piece. She would like some Japanese style water (waves, etc.) but wants to leave the rest of the composition up to the artist, hoping this will allow for a more successful final product.
"The design doesn't have to be completely Japanese, or even Asian for that matter. [It should be] feminine but not too much so," (her request). She might, at some point, expand further down the arm so this should be considered.
Provided are photos of the client's arm, with necessary markings which have been transferred directly to contact-paper to generate a tracing of her arm and the Tattoo to be covered (also provided). Please use the tracing and although the final design doesn't have to be completely finished (more likfe what you may normally provide for your client) plans for the cover-up should be clear.
